Meet Your Local Team
Claire Dubarbier, Tutor
Claire is a primary teacher by trade, who first became interested in coding in 2016 having attended a talk given by MAMA.codes CEO and founder Liane Katz. Enthused she decided to learn more about coding and the new Computer Science curriculum, spending a year skilling-up (she is currently on maternity leave with her second child). Keen to keep learning, she decided to look into the possibility of teaching some local coding classes and was delighted to learn that MAMA.codes were recruiting and soon joined the team.
Liane Katz, Co-Founder of MAMA.codes & Rep
Liane is Co-Founder and CEO of MAMA.codes. She founded MAMA.codes because she was determined that her kids should learn to code, especially her then 6 year old daughter. She has 18 years’ experience in digital industries and loves seeing code club children have their lightbulb moment, when they discover they can code anything they can imagine.
Richard Hames, Tutor
Richard joined MAMA.codes out of a passion for teaching, and a wish to engage with children for a long period of time so that he could witness their astonishingly rapid development. He thinks coding is the most important skill for the sharpening of young minds, as it makes you consider the processes whereby everything in your world came to be. It has the artistic and creative side of learning a musical instrument combined with the rigorous and technical side of getting good at maths or sciences.
